WHO IS MRS. VASOULA RYDEN?

Mrs. "Vasoula", "in the world known as" Vasiliki-Paraskevi Pentaki- Ryden, in her book series, under the title "True Life in God" and subtitle "Dialogue with Jesus", "reveals" herself. Here are a few excerpts from her books, which to our opinion are characteristic and which we publish without comments:

In a dialogue with "Jesus": "(Vasoula): Can I bless you too? (Jesus): You can. (Vasoula): Then, have my blessings Jesus Christ!". (Booklet 116, p. 77).

And somewhere else: "(Vasoula): I asked Him again to forgive me and I blessed Him (Booklet 116, p. 195). And further on: "I love You Lord and I bless You. (Jesus): We, us? (Vasoula): Yes, Lord" (Ibid, p. 280).

In another conversation : "(Jesus): Vasoula, bless Me and glorify Me". (Booklet 2940, p. 173).

For this it seems sometimes Christ out of joy would "smile, showing His dimples". (Booklet 4155, p. 191).

On 08-01-87, "Vasoula" wrote: I had decided to show my writings to a catholic priest here. He condemned them saying they were works of the devil and that I should cease. Jesus had asked him if he wished to carry the Cross of Peace and Love with me. He said that it was from evil. He gave me to read three prayers: to Archangel Michael, to the Theotokos and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He told me to read them during the following days and see what would happen. I did so. Then I left my hand free to write and for four days I continued writing: "I, Jahweh, I lead you". Four consecutive days". (Booklet 116, p. 80).

"Jesus" to her question: "Does the heart count more than the rasa (cassock)?" He replies : "Yes, the significant is the heart". Thus," Vasoula" can "receive" "from His Hand His Arto" (prosphora) (Ibid, p. 75 and 156) and finally "Jesus" tells her: "Come, let us repose one inside the other". (Ibid, p. 147).

Moreover, "Jesus" "selected her to become His altar" (Ibid, p. 187). "Jesus" revealed also the following to "Vasoula": "My remnant, unite with Me and let us become one, together, together we shall re-establish My Church". (Booklet 116, p. 224).

Even "Vasoula", due to her particular relationship with "Jesus", can bless the world. Thus on 23 March 1989, on Good Thursday, "she blessed" the city of GARABANDAL, having earlier attended the Roman Catholic Church and miraculously found in her hotel room the statue of the Theotokos of Fatima, which "accompanies her to all her gatherings" and placed in the hands of the statue a "rosary" she got from Medjugorje and "having been "awakened" at 8pm by Saint Theresa. (Booklet 2940, p. 96).

With the love of "Vasoulas" for "Jesus" even the souls in "purgatory" will be saved who were "waiting for Vasoula to grow up", or "Vasoula": "by your loving Me so ardently, ...they are snatched from the fire of purgatory... How much they depend on you! Ah, Vasoula would you help them?". (Booklet 116, p. 227).

Vasoula has a lofty destiny: "My God, I am personally baptized Greek Orthodox. To whom do You refer, my Lord? To the Catholics or the Protestants, or to heresies or to other religions? That I dare ask You it is because they exist". "Jesus": "Oh, Vasoula, Vasoula, I am One, I, God is One. My children were created by My Hand. Why are all my children scattered? I wish the Union, I want all My children to unite. I am One God and they must understand that the Holy Trinity is Unity! The Holy Spirit, the Holy Father and Jesus Christ, the Son, the three together is One". (Booklet 116, p. 146).

The "union" would of course occur through "Peter", namely the Pope of Rome: "(Jesus): In My message I ask that My Churches unite... I chose Peter to be your guardian, to protect you in the Truth until My Return, but the people have disobeyed Me. They divided declaring their own canons. Truly I tell you, do not listen to those who oppose Peter, Peter My Lamb, who today is John Paul 2nd, for he is My chosen and dear to My Soul. Do not listen to those who condemn him, they have been deceived... return all to Peter and become one like the Father and I are One". (Booklet 2940, p. 45).

The space does not allow us to continue any further. We, however, believe it is worth to refer to some more excerpts: "4 August 1989: Yesterday, I woke up in the middle of the night and felt that the Holy Spirit was praying for me the "I believe... I perceived that the Voice of the Holy Spirit was praying this prayer to the Archangel Michael". (Booklet 2940, p. 162).

At a certain meeting the following dialogue is written: "Jesus, I believe that we should hurry. (Jesus): Where? (Vasoula): to the basement, to check the oven. (Jesus): OK let us go. 16 May 1987" (booklet 116, p. 174). On 1st of October 1987 "Vasoula" wrote about "Jesus": "It was as if He had a sudden idea and stopped to show me our ankles tied together". (Ibid, p. 272).

We chose the present notes with a characteristic excerpt from the "revelations" of "Vasoula". In the chapter "Message of Unity" of 14th October 1991, she writes: "I do not wish administrators in My house. Unite for My sake, on the feast of Pascha" and continues: "I am Orthodox and I share everything with my Catholic brothers and I do not differentiate in Your Name when I am with them, nor do they treat me any different than their own. I know moreover that many of them go to the Greek or Russian Orthodox churches...". (Booklet 4155, pp. 283-284).

It is however noteworthy that the congregation of dogma (Congregazione per la dotrina) of the Vatican has issued an announcement against "Vasoula". One can find a lot in the article of the Roman Catholic Fr. Francois Dermine, Professor of the University of Bologna, with the title "Those suspect messages of Vasoula Ryden" (Journal, Religioni e Sette nel mondo, 1996, #1, pp. 130-136) in which heavy accusations are directed at "Vasoula". The same one has written a book with the title "Vasoula Ryden, critical search" in which he maintains that "Vasoula" is "a genuine prophetess of the "New Age", because as he maintains, she exhibits two significant characteristics of this movement, the declaration of the "New Age" and the use of "techniques" that she uses for her communication with Jesus", that are not distant from the "automatic writing". He also maintains that she herself claims to be Catholic, but according to him she finds herself "on neutral ground and unacceptable" despite appearing to "feel the duty to partake in all the mysteries of the Catholic Church". (Journal as above, p. 131 and 134).

We are sorry that even few clerics of the Orthodox Church have been present in discussions with "Vasoula" thus rendering "Orthodox credentials" to her.

We publish at the present time the above article and invite the reader to form his own conclusions.
